BroPact Support
Badminton scoring for people who play together.
Need help, found a bug, or want something changed? Email info@bropact.in and we will get back to you. For anything about your account or your data, email admin@bropact.in.
Getting started
- Create a Pact. A Pact is simply the people you play with — your club, your regular crew, or one opponent.
- Add the people you play with. Invite them from the Friends tab; they join by accepting your invitation.
- Start scoring. Tap Play now for a quick game, or set up a match day and let BroPact draw the fixtures.
How scoring works
Every point is recorded on our server, not on one phone. You score your side, your opponent scores theirs, and the number on screen is always the confirmed one — BroPact never shows a guessed score that might change later.
A finished match only enters your record once both sides confirm the result. Until then it waits, and the player who has not confirmed yet gets a notification.
Why the scoreboard freezes after a point
This is deliberate. After each point the whole scoreboard locks for 30 seconds and shows a countdown, so a phone lying on a bench or in a bag cannot be tapped into adding points nobody played. When the countdown ends, either side can score again.
Common questions
- “Couldn’t reach the scoreboard.” The point was not recorded and the score is unchanged. Wait a moment and tap again — a point can never be counted twice.
- “Scoring is out of sync.” Your phone and the server disagree about the current score. Pull down to refresh, then score again.
- Only one of us can score. That is by design. In singles each player scores their own side, so a result cannot be created by one person alone.
- Apple Watch. The watch app is optional. It mirrors the confirmed score from your phone and sends taps back; it never calculates a score by itself. Install it from the Watch app on your iPhone.
Your account
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address. Notifications and location are optional — the app works without them.
To delete your account and your data, open the app and go to Profile → Account → Delete account. You can also email admin@bropact.in and we will do it for you. See the privacy policy for exactly what is removed and what is kept.
Safety
You can block a player, and you can report a player from their profile. Reports come straight to us and we act on them. If something needs urgent attention, email admin@bropact.in.
